<span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;"> Neoclassical literature</span> was written between 1660 and 1798. This time period is broken down into three parts: the <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">Restoration period</span>, the <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">Augustan period</span>, and the <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">Age of Johnson</span>.</div>

Writers of the Neoclassical period tried to imitate the style of the Romans and Greeks. Thus the combination of the terms 'neo,' which means 'new,' and 'classical,' as in the day of the Roman and Greek classics. This was also the era of The Enlightenment, which emphasized logic and reason. It was preceded by The Renaissance and followed by the Romantic era. In fact, the Neoclassical period ended in 1798 when Wordsworth published the Romantic 'Lyrical Ballads'.</div>

<span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700; text-align: start;"><i style="box-sizing: border-box;">On His Blindness</i></span><span style="text-align: start;">, Milton is struggling to understand what God expects of him now that he is losing his sight. He's upset about wasting 'that one Talent which is death to hide' (line 3), which is a biblical reference to the parable of the talents (Matthew 25: 14-30), in which two people invest their talents (in the story, 'talents' are money), while another just hides his talent in a hole and is punished. Milton feels that God expects him to use his talent for writing poetry in a way that honors Him.</span></div>

<b><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">BIOGRAPHY OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> William Shakespeare (1564-1616). English poet and playwright – Shakespeare is widely considered to be the greatest writer in the English language. He wrote 38 plays and 154 sonnets.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px;">
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 27.2px;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon on 23rd April 1564.</span></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> His father William was a successful local businessman, and his mother Mary was the daughter of a landowner. Relatively prosperous, it is likely the family paid for Williams education, although there is no evidence he attended university.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> In 1582 William, aged only 18, married an older woman named Anne Hathaway. They had three children, Susanna, Hamnet and Juliet. Their only son Hamnet died aged just 11.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span class="floatleft" style="box-sizing: border-box; float: left; padding-right: 21px;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img alt="shakespeare" class="alignnone" height="308" src="https://www.biographyonline.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Shakespeare1.jpg" style="border: 0px; box-shadow: none !important; box-sizing: border-box; height: auto; max-width: 100%;" width="240" /></span></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> It seemed Shakespeare didn’t mind being absent from his family – he only returned home during Lent when all the theatres were closed. It is thought that during the 1590s he wrote the majority of his sonnets.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> William Shakespeare wrote 154 sonnets mostly in the 1590s. These short poems, deal with issues such as lost love. His sonnets have an enduring appeal due to his formidable skill with language and words.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> The plays of Shakespeare have been studied more than any other writing in the English language and have been translated into numerous languages. He was rare as a play-write for excelling in tragedies, comedies and histories. He deftly combined popular entertainment with an extraordinary poetic capacity for expression which is almost mantric in quality.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> During his lifetime, Shakespeare was not without controversy, but he also received lavish praise for his plays which were very popular and commercially successful.</span></div>

<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> Shakespeare died in 1616; it is not clear how he died, and numerous suggestions have been put forward. John Ward, the local vicar of Holy Trinity Church in Stratford (where Shakespeare is buried), writes in a diary account that:</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; padding-left: 30px;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">“Shakespeare, Drayton, and Ben Jonson had a merry meeting and it seems drank too hard, for Shakespeare died of a fever there contracted.”</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 17px; line-height: 27.2px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> In 1616, there was an outbreak of typhus (“The new fever”) which may have been the cause. The average life expectancy of someone born in London, England in the Sixteenth Century was about 35 years old, Shakespeare died age 52.</span></div>

Yet his prose, plots and characters are as alive today as they were when the plays were originally staged during the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. Shakespearean works are required reading for high school English students and a course or two for college students who study writing or literature. The plays have been performed in almost every language, on stage and screen and at popular festivals around the world. Even in prisons, teachers find that Shakespeare offers contemporary connections that open pathways to learning for some of society’s most marginalized.</span></span></span></h2>

<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #555555; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">A <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">ballad</span> is a type of poem that is sometimes set to music. Ballads have a long history and are found in many cultures. The ballad actually began as a folk song and continues today in popular music. Many love songs today can be considered ballads.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #555555; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #555555; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">A typical ballad consists of stanzas that contain a <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">quatrain</span>, or four poetic lines. The <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">meter</span> or rhythm of each line is usually <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">iambic</span>, which means it has one unstressed syllable followed by a stressed syllable. In ballads, there are usually eight or six syllables in a line. Like any poem, some ballads follow this form and some don't, but almost all ballads are <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">narrative</span>, which means they tell a story.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #555555; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #555555; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Because the ballad was originally set to music, some ballads have a <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">refrain</span>, or a repeated chorus, just like a song does. Similarly, the rhyme scheme is often ABAB because of the musical quality of this rhyme pattern.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #555555; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #555555; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">While ballads have always been popular, it was during the <span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">Romantic movement</span> of poetry in the late 18th century that the ballad had a resurgence and became a popular form. Many famous romantic poets, like William Wordsworth, wrote in the ballad form.</span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;">HOW TO CONSTRUCT A GOOD SENTENCE</span></div>
<div class="co8aDb" style="max-height: 999999px;">

<div style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande", "lucida sans unicode", tahoma, verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5; margin: 15px auto 1.2em;">
To understand sentences, you must first understand clauses, which make up sentences. A clause is defined as a group of words containing both a subject and a verb.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande", "lucida sans unicode", tahoma, verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5; margin: 15px auto 1.2em;">
Clauses can be independent or dependent.</div>
<ul style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande", "lucida sans unicode", tahoma, verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; margin: 1em 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0.25em 2.5em;">
<li style="border-radius: 0px !important; padding-bottom: 0.5em;">An independent clause contains both a subject and a verb and can stand alone as a sentence.</li>
<li style="border-radius: 0px !important; padding-bottom: 0.5em;">A dependent clause contains both a subject and a verb, but cannot stand alone as a sentence.<br style="border-radius: 0px !important;" />Dependent clauses are introduced by subordinating conjunctions such as because, that, what, while, who, which, although, if, etc.</li>
</ul>

Kinds of Sentences</span></h2>
<div style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande", "lucida sans unicode", tahoma, verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 1.5; margin: 15px auto 1.2em;">
There are three kinds of sentences:<br />
<strong style="border-radius: 0px !important;"><br /></strong>
<strong style="border-radius: 0px !important;">SIMPLE:</strong><br />
- A simple sentence consists of one main (or independent) clause. To be complete, a simple sentence must have at least one SUBJECT and one 'verb'.<br />
- A simple sentence may also have a compound subject and/or a compound verb.<br />
<br /></div>
<strong style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande", "lucida sans unicode", tahoma, verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">COMPOUND:</strong><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande" , "lucida sans unicode" , "tahoma" , "verdana" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande" , "lucida sans unicode" , "tahoma" , "verdana" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">- A compound sentence has at least two main (or independent) clauses, connected by coordinating conjunctions (such as and, but, or, nor, for, so, yet). Each clause has its own subject(s) and verb(s). The second clause should be separated from the first by a comma in front of the coordinating conjunction.</span></div>
<div>
<strong style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande", "lucida sans unicode", tahoma, verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></strong></div>
<div>
<strong style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande", "lucida sans unicode", tahoma, verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">COMPLEX:</strong><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande" , "lucida sans unicode" , "tahoma" , "verdana" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> </span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande" , "lucida sans unicode" , "tahoma" , "verdana" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">- A complex sentence has one main (or independent) clause and one or more dependent (or subordinate) clauses.</span></div>
<div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; margin: 1em 0px;">

Problems with Sentences</span></h2>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; margin: 1em 0px;">
<span style="font-size: small;">
1. Sentence Fragments</span></h3>
<h2 style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; margin: 1em 0px;">
<div style="border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande", "lucida sans unicode", tahoma, verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.5; margin: 15px auto 1.2em;">
<span style="font-size: small;">A sentence fragment is not a complete sentence. It usually lacks either a subject or a verb, or both, or contains only a dependent clause. </span></div>
<div style="border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande", "lucida sans unicode", tahoma, verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.5; margin: 15px auto 1.2em;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Example:</span></div>
<div style="border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande", "lucida sans unicode", tahoma, verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.5; margin: 15px auto 1.2em;">
<span style="font-size: small;">For example, three dogs and a goat. (no verb – what did the animals do?)</span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">Studying too hard on weekends. (no subject – who was studying?)</span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">Because I couldn’t find my shoes. (contains a subject and verb, but is a dependent clause)</span></div>
</h2>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; margin: 1em 0px;">
<span style="font-size: small;">
2. Run-on Sentences</span></h3>
<h2 style="background-color: white; border-radius: 0px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; margin: 1em 0px;">
<div style="border-radius: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: "lucida grande", "lucida sans unicode", tahoma, verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.5; margin: 15px auto 1.2em;">
<span style="font-size: small;">A run-on sentence is one in which two or more independent clauses are inappropriately joined. Remember that the length of a sentence does not determine whether it is a run-on sentence: a sentence that is correctly punctuated and correctly joined can be extremely long. Two types of run-on sentences are fused sentences and sentences with comma splice errors.</span></div>

What is Sonnet?<br />
<br />
- a very structured type of poetry in which the author attempts to show two related but differing thinhs to the reader in order to communicate something about them.<br />
<br />
- this was first developed in Italy, porbably in the 13th century.<br />
<br />
- a sonnet consists of 14 lines<br />
<br />
- there are 3 types of sonnet. There are the following:<br />
<br /> ● SHAKESPEAREAN SONNET (English)<br /> ● PETRARCHAN SONNET (Italian)<br /> ● SPENSERIAN SONNET<br />
<br />
<br />
SONNET VOCABULARY<br />
<br />
Quatrain<br />
- a stanza of 4 lines<br />
<br />
Octave<br />
- an 8 line stanza. Used primarily to denote the first eight-line division of the Italian Sonnet as separate from the six-line division, the sestet.<br />
<br />
Sestet<br />
- the second six-line division of an Italian Sonnet. Following the eight-line division (octave), the sestet usually makes specific a general statement that has been presented in the octave or indicates the personal emotion of the author in a situation that the octave has developed.<br />
<br />
Volta<br />
- the turn in tought. From question to answer, problem to solution - that occurs at the beginning of the sestet (line 9) in the Italian Sonnet. Marked by "but", "yet" or "and yet".<br />
<br />
SHAKESPEAREAN SONNET (ENGLISH)<br />
<br />
- Four divisions are used:<br /> ● three quatrains<br /> ● each with a rhyme scheme of its own, usually rhyming alterating lines<br />
<br />
- And a rhymed concluding couplet<br />
<br />
The typical rhyme scheme is:<br /> ● abab cdcd efef gg<br />
<br />
<br />
PETRARCHAN SONNET (ITALIAN)<br />
<br />
- Distinguished by its division into the octave and sestet:<br /> ● the octave rhyming: (abba abba)<br /> ● the sestet rhyming: (cdecde, cdcdcd or cdedce)<br />
<br />
- The octave typically: <br /> ● presents a narrative<br /> ● states a preposition<br /> ● or raises a question<br />
<br />
<br />
SPENSERIAN SONNET<br />
<br />
- Invented by Edmund Spenser, complicates the Shakespearean form, linking rhymes among the quatrains.<br /> ● bab bcbc cdcd ee<br />
<br />
- There does not appear to be a requirement that the initial octave sets up a problem that the closing sestet "answers" as is the case with a Petrarchan Sonnet.<br />
<br />
- The Spenserian Sonnet is very rare among modern poets.<br />
<br />
<br />
Not only is the English Sonnet the easiest in terms of its rhyme scheme, calling for only pairs of rhyming words rather than groups of 4, but it is the most flexible in terms of the placement of the volta. Shakepeare often places the "turn" as in the Italian L9.</span></span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07192318775204044390noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4854690143149524291.post-25231562606128775562018-07-21T03:25:00.002-07:002018-07-31T10:47:43.491-07:00Sensory Images<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
SENSORY IMAGES</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
- <b style="line-height: 24px;">Sensory Images</b><span style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: "open sans" , "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5;"> </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: "open sans" , "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5;">include sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. Sensory images are images created in your head from a very detailed description of something, often using one of the five senses.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: "open sans" , "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5;"> - Also it can be what you imagine in your head as you read the story. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: "open sans" , "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5;"> - Good narratives make use of image and sound-evoking words to transport a reader into the world of the story. Beowulf's story uses descriptive language to appeal to the readers' senses. Here are some examples from the selection.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: "open sans" , "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5;"><br /></span></div>

(SENSE OF HEARING)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: "open sans" , "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5;"><br /></span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
IMPORTANCE OF SENSORY IMAGES</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="ui_qtext_para" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, Times, 'Times New Roman', 'Hiragino Kaku Gothic Pro', Meiryo, serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px;">
- Our senses provides us the raw material of the external world which we process as language and determine our interpretation of it.</div>
<div class="ui_qtext_para" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, Times, 'Times New Roman', 'Hiragino Kaku Gothic Pro', Meiryo, serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px;">
- A small excercise for example, think of a Cake. You surely pictured one in your mind, remembered the smell of one, even salivated a little thinking of how it may taste.</div>
<div class="ui_qtext_para" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, Times, 'Times New Roman', 'Hiragino Kaku Gothic Pro', Meiryo, serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px;">
- That’s because our language is an ever-growing compound we develop since we are very little, but our senses are working even before we develop that language and, biologically, senses have a special highway link to memory.</div>
<div class="ui_qtext_para" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, Times, 'Times New Roman', 'Hiragino Kaku Gothic Pro', Meiryo, serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
LITERATURE is a written works such as poems, novels etc. That has a lasting importance in our world. It has an intelectual value and its also a work-of-art. Its a universal interest and it is also a written account. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Literature has three (3) parts. The first one is the POETRY, second is the PROSE and of course the third one is the DRAMA. Let us first begin in the POETRY.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrkGn1DR9p0b0v91mG09whcrDAg5HunlMkK6HHNVCjnq5bv64Bw8PBpdX9wkaHwKVCzp8QnE2p6rLW3kSPIOOh8HkQaISqTV17C7eueIBeVgbpph_kbzRKmfr4vglb8eWJ315Obbr2g52u/s1600/stock-photo-poetry-339411857.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="295" data-original-width="450" height="209" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrkGn1DR9p0b0v91mG09whcrDAg5HunlMkK6HHNVCjnq5bv64Bw8PBpdX9wkaHwKVCzp8QnE2p6rLW3kSPIOOh8HkQaISqTV17C7eueIBeVgbpph_kbzRKmfr4vglb8eWJ315Obbr2g52u/s320/stock-photo-poetry-339411857.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
POETRY has also three (3) parts. The LYRIC, NARRATIVE and the DRAMATIC. The types of LYRIC are the following: BALLAD - a kind of poem or song that tells a story. The example of this is "Lord Randal My Son". SONG - a short piece of music with words that is sung. SONNET - a poem that made up of 14 lines that rhyme in a fixed pattern. The two (2) types of SONNET are THE SHAKESPEAREAN and the PETRARCHAN SONNET. Next is the PASTORAL. ODE - a poem which is a person expresses a strong feeling of love or respect to someone or something. And the last one is ELEGY - a song or a poem that expresses a sorrow for someone that is dead. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now lets go to the second part of the LYRIC, the NARRATIVE. There is only one type of NARRATIVE, the EPIC. EPIC - tells a story about a hero or exciting exciting events or adventures. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The last part of the LYRIC is the DRAMATIC. Under DRAMATIC are the following: MELODRAMA - a drama in which people have very strong or exaggerated emotions. MUSICAL DRAMA - a play that tells a story with songs often dancing.</div>
